It’s likely there are no current weather events having to do with the Assets that are available to you at that moment. Many Widgets, such as, Lightning Timer will only display information if there is an active lightning event that meets the Alert criteria that was set.
FAQ
Why does the map look different for another user?
Map views, layer selections, and saved bookmarks can be user specific. Verify you’re using the same saved view and that both accounts have access to the same layers.
Why didn’t my alert fire?
Confirm that the asset was correctly linked, thresholds were exceeded for the specified duration, the alert was enabled, and recipients were valid. Review alert history/logs to trace evaluation outcomes.
Why did my dashboard load slowly?
Large dashboards with many data-dense widgets and long time windows can increase load times. Consider fewer concurrent widgets, shorter ranges, or lighter layers.
Why are my units or time zone incorrect?
Update your user preferences for units and time zone in Settings.
What type of files can be used for a bulk upload of Assets?
All of these Asset types can also be bulk uploaded via CSV or JSON files. We will discuss Bulk Uploading in an advanced section.
What is the difference between Watches, Warnings, and Advisories?
These are official hazard products with escalating urgency. Watches indicate favorable conditions, Warnings signal imminent or occurring hazards, and Advisories cover significant but less severe impacts.
What is the difference between observation-based and forecast-based alerts?
Observation-based alerts trigger from current/near-real-time data, while forecast-based alerts trigger from predicted conditions. Use observations for immediate risk and forecasts for planning windows.
What is an Area or Polygon Asset?
An Area (or polygon) can be added by clicking onto the map directly. This could be a boundary drawn around a facility for specific tracking.
What is a Line Asset?
A Line Asset can be created by clicking onto the map to add a route or other single line.
