What is an Area or Polygon Asset?

An Area (or polygon) can be added by clicking onto the map directly. This could be a boundary drawn around a facility for specific tracking.

What is a Line Asset?

A Line Asset can be created by clicking onto the map to add a route or other single line.

What are the options for adding Assets?

You can create a Point Asset by: Adding latitude and longitude, filling in an address in the search bar, or single-clicking directly on the map.

How do I create a New Asset?

You can navigate to the Asset & Alerts tab on the left-hand side of the dashboard. From there, you can add the asset’s name and location. You can attach the alerts you create to any Asset.

Can I import Assets in Bulk?

Yes. You can download the bulk import template and filling in the required information by the example given. The import tool will let you know if there is any issues and help you to correct rows as needed. You can either use a CSV, Excel, or JSON template.

What is an Asset?

An Asset is a location that you are monitoring the weather on. This can be a single point on a map or an area you have designated.

Why can’t I create assets?

You may not have the right role. Only Customer Admins or Asset Creators can do this. Reach out to your internal account owner or DTN Account Manager to be upgraded. 

What type of Assets do I have?

You can find a list of all your created Assets by clicking on the Asset Manager icon on the left hand menu. This is also where you can create new Assets.
